11 Questions with Sarah
SF based hairstylist Sarah Jordan can do it all. Her effortless dry cuts can make angels cry. Recently returning home after living in NYC, Sarah’s bicoastal clientele can’t get enough of her breezy spirit, calm demeanor, and the overall feel good she exudes.
1. What ritual do you have for starting your day?
I’m a total morning person and absolutely love a routine! Warm lemon water with sea salt is how it all begins. I sip on that while my husband and I make our coffee, which I look forward to every morning. I’m not someone who drinks coffee all day, I just have my cup and a half in the morning.
2. What have you learned most over this quarantine?
What I’ve learned is I can’t control everything and that it’s ok to slowdown.
3. What wellness practices are helping you through this time?
Moving my body and sweating it all out, I found myself needing to be outside listening to my music working out, walking or biking. These things all created balance for me.
4. Who inspires you?
My friend and mentor Romina Manenti. She might not know this, but she has pushed me so far out of box to the point of tears! I’m so thankful for her always getting me to see how capable I am and not giving up when I’m uncomfortable. She has inspired me to go deeper and own my weaknesses and turn them into strengths.
5. What is bringing you joy right now?
Fresh air and a sunny day. With this crazy year it’s the simple things that are the biggest impact of joy.
6. What hair/skincare products have changed your life at this moment?
Anyone who knows me knows that would be May 11 Hair Oil! I’ve always been unenthusiastic about products cause I’m wanting something that would enhance my hairs natural beauty without using multiple products. May 11 is the most authentic and refined product I’ve used, it’s a lifestyle. It brings out the best in my hair and scalp leaving me with a new sense of confidence.
7. What music are you enjoying right now?
Andy Shauf, Francis and the lights, and all things R&B and Rap.
8. What scent invokes happiness for you?
Earthy scents! Sandalwood, cedar, sage and amber. They all bring me to a warm place.
9. What is your biggest source of joy?
My relationships, I love my alone time but my time with my loved ones are so important and make everything better.
10. What word makes you think of beauty?
Confidence!!!!
11. Where do you go when you want to have a self care day?
Bath, clay face mask and cooking a homemade soup!
